Established in 1981, Nu Life TV Antenna is a second-generation telecommunications installations business, delivering an outstanding experience to domestic and commercial customers in Sydney for over 40 years.
Based out of its headquarters in Sydney’s leafy suburb of Oatley, NSW, Nu Life TV Antenna focuses on the provision of digital TV antenna installation and TV wall mounting services in Sydney.
The company was founded in 1981 by Arthur Burgess, who has since grown the business from a single man and a van into Sydney’s largest independent antenna installation company. Over the years, the company has been involved in a number of significant industry projects, including:
- One of the first prime contractors to Galaxy Pay TV in Sydney (Galaxy was a predecessor to what is currently known as Foxtel)
- A major contractor to the NSW Government for the Housing Assistance Scheme (‘HAS’ project) as part of the Australian Government Digital Switchover
- This included a 3 year project consisting of upgrading ~22,000 NSW Government Residential properties
- Numerous commercial MATV, SMATV and PAYTV installations for the design, supply and installation of large-scale new developments on behalf of Electrical Contractors, including Nilsen, Star Group, Stowe Electrical, Heyday, etc.
- Designed, supplied and installed single antenna SMATV system for King Street Wharf, comprising 10 buildings and over 4,500 outlets for Free To Air and Foxtel
During this time, Arthur and other key members of management have held key industry leadership positions, including being a member of the Digital Switchover Taskforce Panel, the leading industry group which was consulted to provide industry feedback and advice for the design and rollout of the national Digital Switchover. This was the process of converting all terrestrial “Free To Air” television broadcasts (consisting of all commercial and government networks) from analogue transmission to digital transmission. This migration was completed with the switching off of all analogue television transmissions in October 2012.
Nu Life TV Antenna is a NSW Government accredited contractor for TV antenna installation services in Sydney to the Department of Housing NSW and other specific government bodies. In addition, Nu Life TV Antenna is a member of ADTIA (Australian Digital and Telecommunication Industry Association), the leading industry association for terrestrial TV transmission in Australia.
Over the last 40+ years, Nu Life TV Antenna has forged very strong relationships with other industry participants, including leading & specialist product manufacturers, distributors, PayTV providers and other recognised industry experts. These relationships extend to the most senior management and technical design personnel at Foxtel, Matchmaster and Hills.
The company is currently one of Foxtel’s commercial design and installation partners, assisting in maintaining the high quality installation requirements of standalone Foxtel and integrated Foxtel + Free To Air systems in large scale commercial buildings (residential apartments, office buildings, hotels, pubs, clubs, aged care providers and other hospitality venues).
